Chad Johnson
Chad Johnson, PMHNP-BC

Chad Johnson is a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner joining Pondworks in January 2021.
Chad has nobly served in the nursing profession for 23 years. Prior to joining Pondworks, Chad worked as a Trauma ICU Nurse at Baylor Scott and White Medical Center, caring for the most vulnerable. In that time, he grew to appreciate how patients’ mental health could impact their physical recovery, during and after their hospital stay. His appreciation grew into a desire to learn more about the connection between the two and help his patients achieve both.
In his own words: “I chose a career in nursing because I wanted to help people. The most gratifying part of being a nurse is being a part of a patient’s transformation as they improve day to day.” He continued his studies at The University of Texas Arlington, where he earned a Master of Science in Nursing with a specialty in Psychiatry/Mental Health.
